Important Notes: These headliners are aftermarket conversion style headliners that are pre-sewn and tailored to fit this specific model. Your existing headliner as well as any stays between card board panels must be discarded. The headliners also include the bows (rods) to support the suspended headliner. The bows must be fitted to the roof of the car, so measuring and drilling is required. The Headliner is stretched in place, and the edges trimmed and finished much like a conventional headliner installation found in a vintage car.
These Non-Factory Style Aftermarket Conversion Headliners (inside roof covers) fit the 1969 thru 1971 Plymouth Suburban & Custom Suburban 4-Door Station Wagon.
Industry Standard Replacements for OEM Material(s): Premier Perforated Vinyl and Premier Plain Vinyl are Industry Standard Replacements for the factory original headliner materials for these Plymouth Suburban model years.
Headliner Only: You will receive a ready-to-install headliner; no sewing is required for the headliner. You will also receive extra matching material to allow you to re-cover your sun visors; sewing will be necessary to re-cover your sun visors.
These Automotive Interior Headliners include a
3-year (36-month) warranty from the manufacturer. Please see our
Warranty page for more details.
(1) What vehicles does this headliner fit?
This headliner is designed only for the 1969–1971 Plymouth Suburban & Custom Suburban 4-door station wagon models. It is tailored specifically to those body styles and years and will not fit other vehicles.
(2) Is this an OEM-style or aftermarket product? What installation work is required?
It is an aftermarket conversion-style headliner that is pre-sewn and patterned to match the intended vehicle application. It is not a factory-original reproduction but is designed as an industry-standard replacement.
Installation involves fitting the included bows to the vehicle’s roof, which requires measuring and drilling. The headliner is then stretched into place and trimmed at the edges, similar to installation procedures used on traditional vintage-car headliners. Existing headliner components and stays must be removed before installation.
(3) What materials are available?
This headliner is produced using two industry-standard replacement materials that substitute for original factory fabrics: Premier Perforated Vinyl and Premier Plain (non-perforated) Vinyl.
(4) What is included in the kit?
You receive a ready-to-install headliner plus support bows (rods) and extra matching material for sun visor re-covering. The headliner itself requires no sewing, but sewing is required if you choose to recover your sun visors using the included material.
(5) Is there a warranty on this headliner and are there shipping or return policies I should be aware of?
Yes — the headliner carries a 3-year (36-month) manufacturer warranty.
